Creative Work at XING
At XING I was usually in charge of the corporate design and branding guidelines. I was checking, If everything fits the styleguide and design guidelines and developed new rules and descriptions for everyone to use and understand.
I migrated the new styleguide into a Wordpress template and developed new rules for specific cases such as partnerships and icon usage. Sometimes I had the chance to design new layouts for specific occasions and departments.
Xing needed an illustrated mascot for Presentations and workshops, to make painpoints and important notes more visible and joyful. The little Illustrated guy was called Hairy Harry and needed to fit into different scenarios.
XING does a prototyping week where the employees can use the week to branch out into new ideas and projects, they've always wanted to do. That year they could either prototype new ideas, go and do something for the environment or do workshops to improve their work life. Each prototyping week gets new posters and T-shirts which needed to be designed quite nicely, because people want to collect and wear them over the years.
To give the shirt and posters a connection to the 3 possible tasks, I decided to illustrate them separately for 3 Posters and Shirts, combined with a "motivational" word. To give them a little break from the typical lime and petrol XING colors, I decided to use their berry color, which is usually only used for highlights. That
